pre-christmas cheer! / 11:08 PM
This is a special message for all those who are away from home,
the new song on the blog is specially for you.
Christmas season has arrived and you better hurry home before
it flies by without you on board!
Yes Geoffrey I guess that means this is specially for you too.

Despite having quite a tough time dealing with losing my voice during
the week of my recital and choral workshop I thank God for the great
(or relatively good) performances and the immeasurably precious memories.
It's always a pleasure to sing and carol with ACJC and part of my heart
dies when I remember that this will be my last performance
at KKMC and also my last carolling season.
Nevertheless as how Ms Gracia puts it, treasure these experiences for they
never come by you again. Well said indeed, how often we let precious
things like these pass us by without even realising their significance.
Here's a picture of Ms Gracia imparting some wisdom to the choir after
the second service at Kampong Kapor Methodist Church.
Ms Gracia!
The last few days were special and looking back now I understand that God
had planned it perfectly, even my illness was essential to His plan.
I remember moaning about how everything seemed to be going wrong this
week, which it really almost did. Yet during the moments that mattered God
was there. He was there when my Dad fell into a deep drain last weekend
and hurt himself, preventing any major injuries to his bones or organs.
God was there as well during my recital where half my voice returned so I
was able to pull through the performance with my dignity intact.
God was definitely there with the choir as well as we sang and made music
in KKMC early that morning and even more so in the second service.
Lord I thank you for your love and providence for us all and I'm sorry that I'm
such a noisy, ever-complaining servant.
We all learn some day and hopefully so will I.

Here are more pictures to mark the occasion.
Intent Listeners.
That's us listening very intently to Ms Gracia's words, which although were
wise in their depth, did not lack sincerity and warmth. It's always such a blessing
to be able to meet and listen to her.
I wish she would come back to work with the choir more often!
Wise Words.
There that's the last picture.
I look forward to the carolling season up ahead which will be extremely
intensive schedule wise. I've already begun my three week work plan for
the rest of this month to save myself the agony of organisational disaster
later in the year. Alright that's all for now, ACJC alumni please check the
yahoo groups for updates on our performances and rehearsals.
Take care and see you soon at the performances.

P.S. Don't you love my Christmas-themed blog skin? Gotta love it.
